With cutting-edge research in the fields of ENERGY, HEALTH and MATTER, around 1,500 employees from more than 70 nations at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) are committed to mastering the great challenges facing society today.
In the Department of Theoretical Physics at HZDR, such non-equlibrium phenomena are investigated by predominantly analytical means. Key aspects include strong-field physics (in collaboration with the Institute of Radiation Physics), the fascinating properties of the promising material graphene (in collaboration with the Institute of Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research), as well as strongly correlated systems (link to the Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory).
The Department of Theoretical Physics is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) Non-equilibrium dynamics of condensed matter in the time domain.
