PEER Group has an opportunity for a high-performing Account Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for representing PEER Group’s portfolio of semiconductor factory automation products and services at customer sites and for managing business activities within Europe.

You are adept at closing the technically complex sale. You understand how to sell software services. You can bridge the gap between the technical expert and the management decision makers to make sure the PO gets signed. Your history of promotion, success, and awards demonstrates an ability to thrive in a technical sales environment. You have opened new markets and nurtured relationships with valuable flagship clients while consistently meeting targets. You are ready to prove yourself as a key member of the PEER Group sales team. As part of the role, you will work closely with clients and members of the sales team and in collaboration with the PEER Group Marketing, Engineering Services, and Product Engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities.

  • Cultivate and manage new sales opportunities from initial contact to close.

  • Gather and share competitive information about regions and accounts.

  • Ensure regular, disciplined CRM usage to update pipeline, sales forecast, and opportunities; account management including preparation of proposals, quotes, and customized presentations and attend trade shows.

  • Coordinate sales activities with internal Application Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing teams.

  • Follow-up on purchase orders, change orders, and integration and support requests.

  • Remain knowledgeable about PEER Group’s new and existing software and services offerings.

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key economic and technical stakeholders.

  • Identify and introduce new solutions to existing PEER Group customers.

  • Learn and understand client needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Periodically review programs with customers and the PEER Group Engineering team.

  • Manage both commercial and technical objection handling and problem resolution, including price negotiations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or STEM discipline.
  • 5-7 successful years of experience in a high-tech sales role - Experience in selling products and/or services in the semiconductor industry is required.
  • Factory specific selling experience is considered an asset but not necessarily required at this time.
  • Technically astute and able to comprehend engineering and design challenges faced by prospective customers.
  • Valid work permit in Germany and the EU.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory.
  • Able to coordinate multiple opportunities simultaneously and manage and execute the sales process effectively, including prospecting, sales calls, sales visits, and closing business.
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with other sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite and CRM experience is an asset.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, in both German and English
  • Strong work ethic and motivated to work in a high performing, results-oriented environment.
